It's a Marvelous Monday!

Hello my friends it's the start of another wonderful week. Mondays are always a good day for me as it's a New Squigglefly Challenge. This weeks challenge is a Good One. This weeks challenge is to make a Criss Cross Card. You can find a tutorial at Split coast stampers by Beate Johns HERE! I had so much Fun with this One. I tried my hardest to follow the set tutorial and I did for the most part, however I made a few changes. I changed my card size to be a 6x6. The card band is secured via Velcro under my vintage truck allowing the flaps to open for addition sentiments and journaling once removed. I made these changes as I have the intention to make my husband a mini album for fathers day and this will make it easier to adhere the card to one of the pages and turn his card into part of the album. The Squigglefly image I selected is Comic Vintage Truck by new Artist Michelle Bertuzzi. I printed the image on my solid cardstock and two 7 gypsies patterned papers and pieced them together. The card background papers are from Tim Holtz Lost and Found paper collection. The removable tag/photo mat is from that same collection as well as his Shabby vintage paper collection. I still need to come up with a Sentiment for the front of the card but I want it to be witty and father's day related. The traditional Happy Father's day just ain't fancy enough for this project. OK enough babbling Here's my interpretation of this weeks Squigglefly Challenge.
