Do you believe?

Do you Believe in Santa? My kids answer will always be "Yes" as they know only believers can hear the reindeer bells jingle as Santa delivers his gifts to the children of the world on Christmas Eve. My card share today is using a fabulous image from Squigglefly called Kris Kringle. I'm In love with their newest designers detailed images. They are gorgeously shaded not much color is needed. I followed the fabulous sketch from Simon Says Challenge even though I missed the deadline for the challenge. I also included my favorite embellishment for the Squigglefly challenge which is pearls and lace.

A close-up to show the texture on Santa's hat brim. I also added diamond glaze to his glasses for a crystal effect.

Yeah the weekend is here!

Hello and Hope your having a fabulous Saturday! I hope this post goes up as Scheduled because last weekend my post did not work on time.
I know I haven't been posting to the blog much this past week but I just didn't have anything I could share. I'm almost finished working on my TWS mini album for my swap partner Jenn. Once I complete that I can get back to making more cards.
Todays card share is following the Sugar Creek Hollow Blog Color challenge of  Black / Red / Cream. The digital image I chose was the Sugar Creek Hollow -  Sing and Make Music. I just loved the frame and instantly saw it as a Rich Mahogany Red violin. Stop on over at the SCH Store to find other Fabulous images. Then pop on over to the Blog and check out all the Design teams beautiful cards!

That vintage music sheet is just lovely. I didn't even need my scissors. I simple bent it and it just snapped. Coolest trick ever. Granted the brittle sheet makes it easy to break into strips it was very hard to distress ink the edges.

An early Thanksgiving card

Wow I have neglected my poor blog. I'm still crafting but working on my Trade Mini album for the {scrap}beach TWS swap. I have it half completed, and hope to finish by this weekend. I've even fallen behind on reading and posting on my friends blogs! Sorry If I haven't left any Love for all the wonderful Inspiration I have seen. This morning I had to change things up and make a cute card. I know it's a little early for Thanksgiving cards but the weather is starting to get cooler and If I had trees near by I'm sure the leaves would be starting to change colors. I think that is what I miss most about my home state of Minnesota is watching the season of Fall and all it's beauty.

This card falls under a few challenges:
Squigglefly challenge #66: use your favorite image

Sugar Creek Hollow Saturday Sketch challenge~

Hope your all having a fabulous Saturday. Today Is a tough day for many fellow Americans as Today we remember all those Lost in the tragic attack on the Twin Towers and Pentagon nine years ago.  I remember that day vividly. God Bless to all the families affected.
Today I will be hosting Our annual Corn Fest Party for 40-50 people. It's always a great time but it wears me out. It's nice to be with family and friends for 1 last summer BBQ.

Todays project share is a Sugar Creek Hollow Sketch challenge Card. It's beginning to feel cooler outside and that just makes me think of autumn colors. It's my Favorite time of year.

I also used the sketch on a layout I completed for my Daughter's first day in High School.

A close-up of my beautiful daughter and a better look at the Sugar Creek Hollow circle mirror frame. I printed it on vellum and embossed and absolutely love the way it turned out.

My second card was my original card with one of the new Autumn Sentiments digital stamps but I just never was happy with the final result. Friday I brought it back out and made a few adjustments and I like it a lot better now.

They miss there big Sister and brother terribly. I created this box awhile back and never shared pictures on my blog so I thought I better get to it before I forget. It's a Recipe box Laura  with Following the paper trial showed how to make on a Ustream show and I just followed along and made mine. Granted I use mine for holding my Wild Orchid Craft pearls BUT.......it's an important Ingredient for any craft recipe LOL!
