Buttons and Bows!

Welcome to my Sugar Creek Hollow Sensational Saturday Card share! Todays card is for a very Dear friend of mine. I can only Hope she received this card in yesterday's parcel post because if not......Surprise!
My friend Is a very devoted follower of mine and so pleasant to chat with. I love chatting on the phone because she lives a mirror image to my daily life. She understands what I go through and does most of the same. Trying to create while having energetic children at foot is a craft in itself. She sent me the most gracious Happy Mail. Included was papers from one of my Favorite manufactures (7 gypsies) AND>>>> some papers I never thought to design with.

As most know I don't have any large craft stores or even a local scrap store to shop at. Everything has to be ordered on-line. So it's fun to get items I may not have seen or even known about.

Using the K&CO. Designer pack by Brenda Walton (Fiona and Fauna I think) I created a Thank You card!
I chose the butterfly tile image by Sugar Creek Hollow as it was a perfect fit. The butterfly, Iris and music note was Just what I needed. I colored my image with watercolors and lightly misted with perfect pearl mist. I accented with Petaloo flowers topped with buttons and fibers with a rhinestone center. I used country crinkle ribbon from Sugar Creek Hollow as my bow in an amazing aqua color.

I hope you find this card inspirational and check out the  Sugar Creek Hollow Store and Blog!
My design team sisters have some amazing images to share so please stop by Here!

A layout of my girls.

I can't remember how long it's been since I completed a 12x12 layout. (a couple months at least.) I've been creating so many cards and altered projects I've kinda put my personal scrapbooking on the side.
This is a photo of my girls as they were all snuggling together watching a movie and I thought it was so cute.

The heart is a Die-cut from the collection.  I used label four spellbinders die to cut and emboss my photo.

I used the Hollywood Vogue papers from Webster's pages. I accented with wild orchid craft roses and Prima bling. I know the bottom right corner looks a little light but that is where my journaling will go.
The top corner I gathered some lace trim and accented with more roses. It's hard to tell in the photos but all the flowers have been misted with Rangers perfect pearl mist.

Thanks for stopping by and Have a Happy Crafty Day!

Be Mine!

Hello Happy Bloggers are you up for some Midnight Madness! I know Valentine's Day was yesterday but I never got a chance to share the valentine that I made for my husband. Living here in Wyoming one thing that is very common is the Coal Mining. Either you, your Spouse, or even any of your friends work in or sub-contract for the industry. My previous employment was a contractor for the mines. (thank goodness I upgraded to a SHAM.) My husband still works with-in the industry so what would be more fitting than this cute coal miner image from Bonibleaux designs.

Here is My Team Creation:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Background paper is My Minds Eye Academy papers. I paper pieced the miners outfit and coal cart with more designs from that collection. I added some inking and walnut satin distress stickles to dirty up my image. Bisque liquid pearls and gold stickles to accent his hard hat. I wanted to keep the card masculine but I still had to border my hand-drawn heart with white pleated ribbon. I also added some lace to ground things and sprayed it with snow-queen glimmer mist. The only flower I used was a single rose which replaces the original images lunch box. That's the best thing about digital images. They are so customizable.
Here is my Creation this week:
This is a Gift Tag I will attach to my Easel Box.
(That's another Post coming soon)
For the base I used a regular #8 shipping tag and covered in Life Stories paper by My Minds Eye.
I colored my image with water-color pencils and accented with diamond glaze to give it more depth and layer. I matted on some scrap papers cut with the spellbinder labels set. The stars in upper right are from LYB rub-ons. Prima say it in pearls. Flowers from wild orchid craft and some hand made beading accents.
So Lovely!
Welcome Back to another Sensational Saturday with Sugar Creek Hollow. Today we have a Fabulous Sketch to share with you. I rotated the image for my card!
The Image I chose is a New released image called ladies frock together. You can find the digital image HERE. This is such a Cute image and I had a lot of fun paper piecing the dress.
I accented the top with victorian velvet distress stickles and some more along the dress lines.
I wanted my dress to have dimension and poof so I used my Scotch quick dry liquid glue to adhear my designer papers only at the waist line and then added pop dots along the bottom of the dress. I carefully went along the dress edge and glued as far down as I could without tearing the paper.
I accented with a few Prima say it in pearls. A hand stitched lace lolli-pop flower with a crochet flower was just the soft touch I wanted at the top. The bottom flower accent is using Wild orchid Craft petals, rose and buds. Another hand stitched lace flower softens just enough.
This card is already posted and on it's way to it's new Home. I hope my friend enjoys this card as it was a dream to make. This card is one of those Rare times (for me anyway) where I was finished in less than 2 hours. Everything just fell into place and not once did I have to second guess an element.  Most of the time was Stitching and waiting for glue and stickles to dry.
Now head on over to the Sugar Creek Hollow Blog and check out some other Fabulous inspiration.
On a Brighter note my card share is an adorable little baby boy card using one of Paper Pretties digital images. This image is called Bath Time Cooper.
Here is this week's Sketch and My Creation:
I rotated the sketch for my card.
The card base is using DCWV Nana's Nursery papers with accenting papers from K&Co. Classic K collection. Some pleated lace ruffle gives the bottom a nice soft feel. I colored my image using my pencils and blended them out. I covered all the bubbles and water with Diamond glaze to give a nice dimension and realistic feel. Some Country Crinkle ribbon and various gems and dew drops finish off the card.
