Welcome back to another Sensational Saturday with Sugar Creek Hollow. This weeks challenge is to create a card using the technique HERE for faux barn board. I normally stick fairly close to the challenges but this week I couldn't. I didn't have the acrylic paint or brown re-inker to complete the technique So with the Thanksgiving Holiday on Thursday I wanted to complete my project while I had the free time early in the week. I created a Box that could be used as a Candy Dish holder. I found the idea from HERE. I created my box out of a full 8 1/2 X 11 sheet of cardstock, I just adjusted the measurements. So instead of using the technique to create faux barn board I created a box that looks like a barn. =)
I chose to use the amazingly beautiful baby Jesus image once again this week.
My Family and I are still without water. We believe the pump has failed. We will need to replace this next week. We are lucky to have friends and neighbors that allow us to shower and re-fill our water jugs. The amount of laundry I will have to catch up on when we finally get water back is beyond frightful.
Thanks For stopping by and have a Happy Crafty Day!

CLEVER is an under-statement!!! This is GENIOUS!!!!!!! I don't know how you achieved this texture but it reminds me of the "Rock City" barns that we see when traveling to see my husbands parents. I am sure your sister in law will love this!
This is very creative. She's going to love this! I love how you made the "wreath" around the opening.
Wow Dawn, this is really special! I love the wreath - the color you used is really stunning.

I was impressed when I first saw this beautiful candy box and then I took a look at the tut. Girl, first of all can you get it translated into English, second this is quite involved and you have done a stellar job! Absolutely breathtaking idea and the final outcome is gorgeous!!! I love your colors, your embellies, the images and everything, everything, everything!!!

This just blows my mind Dawn! Absolutely fantastic! I just want to crawl into your brain and absorb some of your creativity! Incredible showing for the wonderful Jesus image - like the manger he was born in. What talent you have!
