Here is this week's Sketch and MY Design Team Creation:

I chose to use the Victorian Rose Fan digi from "Priscillastyles" images.
I printed my image several times on some floral papers and paper pieced together. I accented with some fine lace and colored in some of the flowers with Lindy's stamp gang magical mica powders with my water brush. I stamped the rolled papers with my Prima notary stamp and embossed using Lindy's stamp gang two-toned embossing powder. The thank you banner was created in Photoshop.
I used wild orchid crafts roses and the Far East papers as my background. the dangle from the large trellis rose is a few random beads from my stash.

Sugar Creek Hollow with stitches

Welcome back Friends for my card share with Sensation Saturday with Sugar Creek Hollow. This is our final event for the 1 year celebration and our weekly challenge of stitching.
If you have not stopped over at the Sugar Creek Hollow blog you need to stop by. This week we have a special treat of "name that image".
This week we want your help in naming this image before it goes into the Sugar Creek Hollow store.  Please leave a comment on the challenge blog with your suggestion.  Tracy, the owner of Sugar Creek Hollow will choose the name she thinks best suits the image.  If more than one person suggests the winning name, their names will go into a random draw.  The person with the winning name will receive this stamp as their prize.  You have until midnight EST on April 1st to leave your comment and the winner will be announced on April 2nd.

For my challenge card I used the Easter Wishes image.

Using the Bo Bunny Gabrielle papers I stitched my base in a double wonky stitch. Trying not to be very straight to give another creative element. I accented the image which I printed on design paper with some of my favorite wild orchid craft flowers and a handmade stitched crinkle ribbon flower with a vintage button. A little bit of liquid pearls on my image was all I needed. I also stitched on some loopy lace at the top of a sticker border strip that came with the paper collection.

The winner of my blog candy from last weeks post is......

Renee please contact me with your mailing address and I will mail out your surprise blog candy!

Here is this week's Sketch and my Design Team Creation:

I did rotate the sketch 90* to the left. But wow what fun did I have! Not only did I have the pleasure to work with an amazing sketch I was able to use the new released paper line by Bo Bunny called Gabrielle. I had such fun complimenting this paper with "Priscillastyles" digital image Butterfly set! I printed my image on a thin sheet of transparency and embossed with Lindy's stamp gang Queen Sheba Silver embossing powder. I tried to fill in my image with a few colors of Lindy's stamp gang Starburst stains but lacked the knowledge to make it work for me. (that's a post in-itself) Once dried I added some Ranger liquid pearl and distress stickles to get my desired look.
I chose to accent my image with embellishments from the paper collection and Pizzazz Aplenty assorted embellishments. I used the 2mm clear rhinestone flat back bling to give my butterfly a flight trail, and the smaller butterflies the 2mm dark chocolate flat back pearls. ( oh am I in love with these pearls) I adorned with some Wild Orchid craft roses and a handmade stick-pin. Here is a look at the 3-D effect the card has.

I covered the design on the paper with diamond glaze to give it a defining effect and a little added "pop". I had so much fun working with this sketch, paper, embellishment and digital elements it will be hard to send off to a friend or loved one!

Here is this week's Sketch and My Design Team Creation:

I carried the sketch to the final view of my card!

The image I chose for this card is the Long stemmed thoughts by Deedee's Digis.....
I accented with some handmade vines using floral tape and Wild Orchid Craft leaves and tiny rose-buds. The 2 largest white flowers are Prima with the diamond dust on them. I'm not sure about you but I get really impatient when all the Glitter or glass fragments fall off. Not really sure the look is worth it. I added some additional Wild orchid Craft small rose buds for accenting. I used prima say it in pearls and crystal swirls. The lace is from my stash and just seemed to fit perfect.

Ok Now off to see all the other Gorgeous cards by the Midnight Madness Design team. I can't wait to see what all you wonderful craft ladies Create.

Sugar Creek Hollow Sensational Saturday Handmade flowers challenge

Welcome Back to another Fabulous Sensation Saturday with my Sugar Creek Hollow Card.
This week is a fun challenge as I like to make handmade flowers.

I created a tiny rosebud by recycling some packing paper I received in a package. I used a tiny 5 petal punch by making memories. After I punched my flowers I spritz with wheatfield glimmer mist and let the petals dry. Starting from the center I used small dots of Scotch quick dry and my tweezers to form a center and just curled up the petals and glued where I needed. Once the glue dried I spritz with some Lindy stamp gang spray in delphinium turquoise.  The middle flower I did a running stitch along some lace and pulled tight to create a round pleated base. The top embellishments are a recollections petal and metal brad. The largest flower is a metal filigree adorned with a crystal flower center that I found in my stash.

The Sugar Creek Hollow Image I used was the Vintage balloon. I simply printed on my design paper of choice and cut out and pieced together.  I accented with some laces and bling out of my stash.

The Top Right corner I rolled back the paper to create a curl and filled the space with an accenting piece of paper and a lace flower I simple cut out of a fabric piece.

Don't forget this month is Sugar Creek Hollow's 1st anniversary and you could still win some blog candy by following the directions HERE!

Here is how I used this week's Sketch and my Design Team Creation:

The project is a 7x7 chipboard mini album page. I used Webster's pages Wonderfall collection papers. Lots of fussy cutting. I accented the papers and some of the flowers by painting some Lindy's stamp gang Tibetan Poppy Teal starburst stain .
The Image I chose was SwingLeah from Whimsie Doodles.
A few close-ups on the image and the photo pull-out tag with my youngest daughter's picture.

One of the Greatest joys of staying at home with my girls is it allows me time to do crafts but it's even better when my daughter creates with me. Here is a picture of Her card she made with the SwingLeah Image and the MMSC94 Sketch.
My daughter is 3 1/2 and she has gotten so good All I have to do is put a glue dot on the back and she puts it where she wants. She mimics most of what I do and catches on quick. I still have to put the image on straight for her but that's about it. She has her own drawer of goodies and picks out her own stuff.

Be sure to check out all the other fabulous Design team cards this week over at Priscilla's Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge.

catching up on 12x12 layouts!

I've been trying to catch up on my personal 12x12 album layouts which is funny because that is how I started crafting and now that seems to be my back burner projects!
I created this layout using my son's 3rd grade Fall school picture using the Webster's pages WonderFall Collection.

I know I know I've already gotten flac from my son because I created his older sisters page 3 months ago. But in my defense creating personal layouts for 4 kids and also trying to learn and grow in new medias and craft I kinda get side-tracked. I do love my Design team creations but my true passion is looking at my greatest creation - - - -my children. My children are the most beautiful thing I will ever create and keeping up on their growth is immense. This year my goal is to go back to my roots and create for me or their future. I have met so many amazing crafter's on the web but in reality how many will stop by for a cup of coffee to look at my work????? I say this in the most kind way I can! I just need to take a step back and create for me and my memories!
Here are a few favorite elements of this layout:

I accented this Owl and books with several distress stickles and inks. This is a paper piece cut from the pattern paper of Webster's pages WonderFall collection.

The bike is a stamp from the TPC Studio Grandma's attic clear stamp collection. I accented with 2 Tim Holtz gears for my wheels and diamond glaze to give the bike more depth.
I hope you enjoyed looking at my art and.......

Have a Happy crafty Day!
