Just a few craft projects I didn't have a chance to post. Beware Picture Heavy.

I've fallen a little behind on posting my projects but rest assured I've been staying busy. I will just group them all together in this post so Hope you enjoy!
I created this Double sided Tri-Fold Frame for a challenge on a great craft forum Life on the{scrap}beach. I had received a sheet with small Photos of different background options with my children's Fall pictures. This is how I made use of them. I cut the base out of Heavy Chipboard and covered with some Yummy Design paper from my paper stash. I used ribbon as the thread underneath the paper to adhere the photos in their little windows. I strung some unique beads for the Center which also is hidden under the paper. I attached the side frames simple using hinges. Covering them with some paper for a hidden appeal.
I Intend to give this to my Mother-in-law but it's too cute I don't know if I can give it away.

Another project I completed as a gift is this cute Wallet mini for my Auntie Con to hold pictures of her Adorable Grandson.

Ok that's all for this morning will put together another post later today! Thanks for looking and feel free to leave me a comment!

Lots of crafting done! WooHoo!

Last night I attended the Life on the {scrap}beach On-line Crop. OMG! It was so much fun. Lots of chat and learned a few new things too! This lovely group does a monthly virtual Crop on their Ustream channel. There are 6 challenges that we can complete and here are a few I have done thus far. I did not do them in order.
Challenge #2:
The second challenge is try something new on a layout! I just got some Tim Holtz Perfect Pearl powders for the first time on Friday so I made a mist and used it on my snowmen and bottom snow. This is really hard to photograph but I did try.

This is a close-up using super-macro feature on my camera. I have no idea how to capture this effect in a photograph so I'm open to suggestions.

Challenge #4: The fourth challenge is to create an entire layout without ever using your paper trimmer once! You can use other cutting implements, but no paper trimmers! I only used my craft knife and my Cricut. I didn't like the look of the Zooballoo cartridge Hippo as it was cut so I cut the shadow image for the body then increased my size and cut the regular image and cut off the head part. I then free cut my own snout and was much happier with the end result. I raised with pop-dots to give the dimension. This is the Fourth page in my girlfriends Safari baby mini so how fitting 4th page And challenge 4. It was meant to be.

and a close-up of the hippo!

The final challenge I was able to complete today was another page in my mini album.

Challenge #6: The sixth challenge is to make a layout about an animal. So I created a Monkey for the third page in the album. I had to free hand all the pieces but the tail. I used my celebrations cartridge and the party favor shadow cut. The branches are from the zooballoo cartridge and I just glittered them up. I still need a title but have not thought of anything clever yet.

Thanks for taking the time to look at my creations and reading my super long post! Hope everyone has a great week!

Loving these Easel Cards!

I just had to make another easel card as it was so much fun. I waited till yesterday to make my card for last weeks Saturday Spotlight Challenge. I'm on the ball as I got this weeks challenge card done today. This weeks SSHP06 theme was Repeatedly Useful. (use an image more than once on your creation.) The poinsettia corner stamp was great to frame my Cardinal image. The stamp originally had a To: From: on it as well but I just cut that part off.  This card also qualify for the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge #57 which was to make an easel card. The Stamps are from a 1997 retired SU collection. I used some of my perfect pearl powders on the flowers and leaf but really hard to see in the photos. I also misted the raised top node mat with my perfect pearls mist that I made. I love how it gives a subtle sheen to the card. Thanks for Looking and Have a Wonderful weekend! OK onto tonight On-line Crop with The Life on the {Scrap}beach girls!

For all the Cricut users out there.

This is a program I've been wanting to get for awhile. I do plan to purchase after the Holidays. Everyone knows how expensive Cricut cartridges can be so this is a great software program to have. I read that it is better than Design Studio. So check out this link for a chance to win the software.

My First Easel Card

I've been seeing several of these cards on other blogs and thought I wanted to try. It was very easy to make and I will definitely make more in the future. The image I used for this card is a digi from Squigglefly. I just love the Shy bear images. I printed the image on photo paper and embossed with clear powder before the printer ink dried and it gives a really cool look. I colored using my Tim Holtz Distress inks and my nibs. When heat setting the ink it fades into the previous embossing  for another cool effect. Just a technique I did by accident on another image and trying to perfect it. Nothing like waiting till the last minute but I made this card following the SSHP05-Saturday Spotlight- In So many Words. Great challenge for this easel card as while being displayed it will say so much.

Swoosh!!!!!!!!!!!

Just a quick card post. I've been spinning my wheels in the card making. I've been working on the mini here and there, but still lots to do. I was able to sit down today and get this Holiday card made. I have not participated in this challenge blog in a short while so I thought I would give it a go this week. So the Sketch is from Get Sketchy #12 I used a squigglefly digi. I added glossy accents to the scarf to raise the feature, and stickles to the snow for glitz. Thanks for looking!
