So Lovely!

Welcome Back to another Sensational Saturday with Sugar Creek Hollow. Today we have a Fabulous Sketch to share with you. I rotated the image for my card!

The Image I chose is a New released image called ladies frock together. You can find the digital image HERE. This is such a Cute image and I had a lot of fun paper piecing the dress.
I accented the top with victorian velvet distress stickles and some more along the dress lines.

I wanted my dress to have dimension and poof so I used my Scotch quick dry liquid glue to adhear my designer papers only at the waist line and then added pop dots along the bottom of the dress. I carefully went along the dress edge and glued as far down as I could without tearing the paper.

I accented with a few Prima say it in pearls. A hand stitched lace lolli-pop flower with a crochet flower was just the soft touch I wanted at the top. The bottom flower accent is using Wild orchid Craft petals, rose and buds. Another hand stitched lace flower softens just enough.

This card is already posted and on it's way to it's new Home. I hope my friend enjoys this card as it was a dream to make. This card is one of those Rare times (for me anyway) where I was finished in less than 2 hours. Everything just fell into place and not once did I have to second guess an element.  Most of the time was Stitching and waiting for glue and stickles to dry.
Now head on over to the Sugar Creek Hollow Blog and check out some other Fabulous inspiration.

Thanks for stopping By Have a Happy Crafty Day!

Words cannot describe how beautiful this is Dawn. First the flipping of the sketch is perfect and the dress just looks like a queen's ball gown with the DP paper piecing. Great with the dimension too. Your flower and other rich embellishments just top this off in a stunning way. It's breath-taking!

Sharon

Dawn, this is absolutely "magnifique". Lots of subtle touches and softness. The dress is gorgeous by itself but with your work on it, it's just fabulous. Love this paper piercing technique! You nailed the shabby-chic style imo. TFS! Hugs, Vron

Dawn....how lovely!!! You have given us so much to see with all the photo's you have provided. However, my favorite two items about your card are the 3D layers that you popped up and that touch of sparkle you have added. Couldn't this be lovely even as a baby girl card? Thanks for you hard work lady.
