Sugar Creek Hollow Sensational Saturday Handmade flowers challenge

Welcome Back to another Fabulous Sensation Saturday with my Sugar Creek Hollow Card.
This week is a fun challenge as I like to make handmade flowers.

I created a tiny rosebud by recycling some packing paper I received in a package. I used a tiny 5 petal punch by making memories. After I punched my flowers I spritz with wheatfield glimmer mist and let the petals dry. Starting from the center I used small dots of Scotch quick dry and my tweezers to form a center and just curled up the petals and glued where I needed. Once the glue dried I spritz with some Lindy stamp gang spray in delphinium turquoise.  The middle flower I did a running stitch along some lace and pulled tight to create a round pleated base. The top embellishments are a recollections petal and metal brad. The largest flower is a metal filigree adorned with a crystal flower center that I found in my stash.

The Sugar Creek Hollow Image I used was the Vintage balloon. I simply printed on my design paper of choice and cut out and pieced together.  I accented with some laces and bling out of my stash.

The Top Right corner I rolled back the paper to create a curl and filled the space with an accenting piece of paper and a lace flower I simple cut out of a fabric piece.

Don't forget this month is Sugar Creek Hollow's 1st anniversary and you could still win some blog candy by following the directions HERE!

Thanks For stopping By Have a Happy Crafty Day!

These flowers are gorgeous! I can't believe you made the tiny little rose. The lace was a great idea and the blue and silver flower and brad look so pretty against the darker color. Beautiful card!

Dawn, how fabulous! Your card has such a day dreamy look and your balloons are gorgeous - but your lacy flower design with the detailed leaves and jeweled center just blows me away! Also have to say I love the curled corner and that awesome blue lace.
